  1. ANNOUNCING THE 2023 SEASON!

    Get ready for a new year of exciting adventures on stage at ARIEL Theatrical! Register early to be part of our award-winning after-school programs. The 2023 programs include:

    • Seussical(PROGRAM CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin January 7, shows March 10, 11, 16, 17, 18

    • The Ugly Duckling(PROGRAM CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin January 9, shows February 17, 18

    • The Fabulous Fable Factory(PROGRAM CLOSED) – Rehearsals begin March 14, shows May 5, 6, 12, 13

    • Stone Soup(PROGRAM CLOSED)– Rehearsals April 17, shows in May 26, 27

    • KIDS ON STAGE(PROGRAM CLOSED)– One week summer camp, two sessions (June & July)

    • DISNEY’S The Lion King KIDS (PROGRAM CLOSED)– Two-week summer camp begins June 12, shows June 23, 24

    • Wizard of Oz(PROGRAM CLOSED)– Three-week summer camp begins June 10, shows July 14, 15, 20, 21, 22

    • Fiddler on the Roof(PROGRAM CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin June 10, shows August 4, 5, 10, 11, 12

    • Jack and the Beanstalk (PROGRAM CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin August 7 & 15, shows September 15, 16, 22, 23 (Two sessions)

    • Charlotte’s Web(REGISTRATION CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin September 5, shows October 20, 21, 27, 28

    • Narnia(REGISTRATION CLOSED)– Rehearsals begin in October 3, shows December 1, 2, 7, 8, 9

     

    In addition to the performance programs, ARIEL will offer two sessions of our day-time class (The Play’s the Thing) for home schooled children, grades K-12 along with off-site theatre programs at elementary schools throughout Monterey County.

    Your generous support will fund our youth-focused theatre programs in an opportunity-filled environment, enabling young participants to have uniquely rewarding experiences that transcend the stage into positive and productive lives.

    Just in time for the holidays, ARIEL Theatrical presents A Christmas Carol: The Musical

    A Christmas Carol: The Musical, is a heartwarming adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story. Coming back to the stage are several key players who will reprise roles from the 2020 Radio Drama version that ARIEL streamed as a gift to the community during the pandemic. Audiences will now get a chance to see the story unfold, live on the ARIEL stage!

    An otherworldly wake-up call comes when Scrooge’s life is interrupted by three well-meaning ghosts who reveal pivotal details of the past, present and future. Community cast members of all ages will breathe life into the Dickensian streets and lay the foundation from which the three spirits will teach transformative lessons to a very reluctant student…..and to all of us, every one.

    PERFORMANCES: December 2, 3, 9, 10, 15 & 16; Thursday and Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 2 & 7 pm

    LOCATION: All shows are presented at the home of ARIEL Theatrical, The Karen Wilson Children’s Theatre, 320 Main Street, Oldtown Salinas, CA 93901

    TICKETS: $13-General Admission; $11-Students, Seniors, Military; $9-Children ages 3-12; Children age two and under – FREE
